Elizabeth Evans
President

 

Elizabeth Evans directs the company’s executive search division. Since 1998, she has established a strong executive search consultant reputation within the real estate industry.  Elizabeth is the point-of-contact for employers seeking to find job candidates.  She supervises all research and recruiting for search assignments and personally links companies to candidates.  

Elizabeth has written articles for industry publications such as Multifamily Executive Magazine and MultifamilyPro.  In addition, Elizabeth has enjoyed success in corporate training and development, sales and marketing, organizational development, and executive interaction.  In the early 1990s, Elizabeth began her work in human resources as a training and development specialist for Sea Pines Company a full service resort, property management and the state’s largest real estate company in Hilton Head, South Carolina.  She also managed Lighthouse Rentals, a fee-managed property management company that offered short term resort rentals to Island visitors. 
Elizabeth
has also worked as a management, marketing, and organizational development consultant for institutions of higher learning and owners, operators, and developers of multi-housing companies focused on the senior living market.  In higher education her assignments included interim human resource director positions for universities needing assistance to stabilize their human resources functions, to convert and integrate new human resource and payroll information systems, to incorporate staff development into long-range strategic plans and/or to help screen and select new human resource directors. 
In the senior housing field, Elizabeth
primarily worked with companies that were expanding into assisted living and independent living from a long-term care focus.  She worked with such companies to help them shift from a medical to a social, resident services model during community design, initial sales and marketing, and initial resident occupancy.  Working with existing management staff, Elizabeth helped select and train new staff and wrote policies and procedures to carry the communities forward after her departure. 
While working at the corporate level within the hospitality industry, Elizabeth taught courses on employee selection, development and retention, professional communications, conflict management, sales and leasing, customer service and executive leadership.  She also taught on the community college and high school levels.  She taught English and Journalism, including Advanced Placement Language and Composition at Camp Lejeune High School
, one of the two remaining Department of Defense high schools. After two years of teaching, she became a teaching administrator at the school, overseeing all student activities and clubs while continuing to teach two classes per day (Journalism and Advanced Placement Language and Composition).

 

Elizabeth holds a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

 

W. Keith Evans, PhD

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

 

Dr. Keith Evans founded Adaptive Advisors, Inc. in 1984 as a management consulting firm serving the senior housing industry, higher education as well as high technology and Internet companies.  Services focused upon start up, turnaround and growth organizations, organizational development, staff retention, operations and sales and marketing.  Keith is an expert in re-engineering troubled companies, managing people and complex organizations, problem solving and identifying personnel strengths to build effective, collaborative work teams and successful organizations.  He has provided hands-on turnaround management, start up management and business consulting services to client companies nationwide as well as marketing/organizational development services for continuing care retirement communities. 

In 2004, he developed the human resources and sales infrastructure for a new upscale international-theme restaurant in Las Vegas and provided ongoing research/market feasibility research expertise for a national housing demographic company.

In November 2004, Keith returned to higher education as Director of Regis University's Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada campuses.  Regis University's main campus is located in Denver, Colorado.  Regis University Nevada is the first permanent satellite location outside of Colorado and positions the school for national growth. The Las Vegas and Henderson campuses serve adult learners throughout Southern Nevada.

Although Keith is no longer an active management and business consultant, he continues to oversee Adaptive Advisors’ Internet presence and technology development.  In 2003 Adaptive Advisors, Inc. developed an innovative website to provide targeted, cost effective job search services to both candidates and companies involved in the specialized fields of multifamily and senior living housing. The website fills the need for an industry specific job board with flexible services.
His early career included management of business affairs/operations in institutions of higher education and health care companies, followed by sales/marketing assignments in high technology software/hardware firms and in the full service retirement and senior care housing industry.  Keith has decades of business experience working as both an internal and an external consultant.  He understands the needs of customers, senior executives, employees, and management. 
Keith has held executive positions with Basic American Retirement Communities, Inc., Senior Resource Group, University of Colorado, San Diego
City College,  Marriott Senior Living Services, Ibis Systems, Inc., and International Tele/conferencing Company.  Among others he has worked in a consulting capacity with Hostar International, a firm providing materials management and employee retention services for the lodging industry; Lucas Corporation, an operator of long term care facilities; and the National Farm Credit Council; Regis University; Meridian, Inc., a retirement housing and long term care operator; Beverly Enterprise’s retirement housing division; Evergreen Healthcare, Ltd., and operator of skilled nursing properties; Indiana Secondary Schools Association; Rocky Mountain Institute of Health and Performance; CommuniCare, Inc. and Grane Healthcare, both operators of assisted living communities, long term care centers and home health care;  TidePointe, a 75 million dollar upscale, condominium-based continuing care retirement housing development; Mt. San Antonio Gardens, a lifecare community; and National Church Residences, an operator of full service retirement communities.
Keith holds a B.S. and a M.S. in Psychology from the Penn State University and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan
